DePaul and Penn State Clash in the Second Round

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The DePaul women's basketball makes its first NCAA Second Round appearance since 2006 on Monday when it tangles with sixth-seeded Penn State. The Blue Demons, who are playing on the Nittany Lions' home court, tip at 7:10 p.m. (ET) and the game will be carried nationally on ESPNU while ESPN2 HD will have national whip-around coverage of all of Monday's tournament games.
No. 3-seeded DePaul (28-6) reached the second round with a 56-43 win over 14th-seeded Navy on Saturday. The Blue Demons forced 23 turnovers in the win and were paced by Felicia Chester's fifth career double-double. Chester led DePaul with 12 points, while the senior grabbed 10 rebounds and tied a career-high with six steals.
Penn State (25-9) reached the Round of 32 by defeating Dayton, 75-66. The Nittany Lions average 77.0 points per game while Maggie Lucas leads a trio of players in doubles figures with 16.0 points per game. This season, Penn State is 14-3 on its home court.
Monday's games marks the fifth series meeting between the two programs and the first since the 1992-93 season. Penn State has won the four previous meetings, including the 1991-92 series meeting in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament.
