Blue Demons play three games in the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2012

Paradise Jam "Reef Division" Bracket 
CHICAGO – The DePaul women’s basketball team is scheduled to participate in the 2012 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam at University of the Virgin Islands, Nov. 22-24. The Blue Demons have been placed in the Reef Division with Florida Gulf Coast, Hampton and South Carolina – all three teams competed in the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
DePaul opens the round-robin tournament against Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. (AST) while day two sees the Blue Demons square-off against Hampton at 2:15 p.m.
The Blue Demons close out the tournament against 2012 Sweet 16 participant South Carolina. The Nov. 24 game marks the fifth all-time series meeting between the two schools, while the series is knotted at two games apiece. Saturday’s game is scheduled to tip at 4:30 p.m.
DePaul returns six of its “Magnificent Seven” from last season including the BIG EAST Conference leading scorer in Anna Martin. The honorable mention Associated Press All-American returns for her final season in Lincoln Park and ranks 15th in DePaul’s record book with 1,382 points. Last season Martin averaged 19.1 points per game which ranked 25th in the country while her .484 field goal percentage ranked 53rd.
All games will be played at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center. Game times are listed as Atlantic Standard Time, which is two hours ahead of Central Standard Time.
