CHICAGO – Sam Quigley, a member of the DePaul women's basketball team, will represent DePaul at the annual BIG EAST Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Fall Meetings in Providence, R.I. The meetings bring together student-athletes from all 16 BIG EAST member institutions on Sept. 24-25 at the league's headquarters in Providence.

“Sam is excited to have been selected to represent DePaul at this important Big EAST meeting, and we are really pleased that her schedule will allow her attendance,” said DePaul Associate Athletics Director Kathryn Statz.  “Sam has been involved in our Captains’ Council for several years now, will provide insight to her Big EAST peers, and undoubtedly will bring ideas and tools back with her from Providence.”

Quigley, an All-BIG EAST performer and finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award in 2009-10, begins her senior season in 2010.  She serves as a captain for the women’s basketball team is also the Vice President of the DePaul Captains’ Council.
