St. Thomas, USVI - After winning its opening two games, the DePaul women's basketball team will square off with South Carolina for the Paradise Jam Reef Division Championship at 4:30 p.m. (AST) on Saturday.  Live streaming and stats are available, while in-game scoring and notes can be followed at www.twitter.com/DePaulWBBSID.

Both teams are 2-0 in the tournament with the Blue Demons entering the contest with a 5-1 record on the season and the Gamecocks are 6-0.  DePaul's two wins at the Paradise Jam came on a combined three points - defeating Florida Gulf Coast, 60-58 and Hampton 68-67. South Carolina topped Hampton 45-34 and Florida Gulf Coast 65-46.

During the tournament, DePaul has been paced by Brittany Hrynko, who is averaging 16.0 points per game while the sophomore guard has combined for six 3-pointers, seven assists and 13 rebounds.  Against Hampton, Hrynko was 4-of-10 from behind the arc while she led DePaul in rebounding with nine boards.

On the year, Hrynko paces the Blue Demons with 15.7 points and has 19 triples.  The sophomore is third on the team with 27 assists and eight steals.

For the tournament South Carolina is led by Aleighsa Welch's 15.0 points and 11.0 rebounds. On the year, Welch is averaging 9.5 rebounds and 12.2 points per game.

Saturday's clash marks the fifth all-time series meeting between the Blue Demons and South Carolina while the series is tied at two games apiece.  The teams have not met since the 1989-90 season while this is the first neutral court meeting.  Both teams have won their two games on their home courts.  DePaul is 16-44 all-time against schools from the Southeastern Conference.

The Blue Demons return to Chicago and host local rival Northwestern Dec. 2 at McGrath-Phillips Arena.  DePaul then hits the road for its second game against an SEC school when its takes on No. 9 Kentucky at Rupp Arena on Dec. 7.
