No. 23/21 DePaul Tops Princeton on the Road
Keisha Hampton scored 23 points and led No. 23/21 to a 78-67 win over Princeton on Tuesday at Jadwin Gymnasium. DePaul returns to Lincoln Park and host Arizona State on Friday, Aug. 16. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

CHICAGO - The DePaul women's basketball team welcomes Princeton for a 7 p.m. contest on Friday, Dec. 21.  The Blue Demons enter the game on a three-game winning streak while the second overall meeting between the two teams can be heard on DePaul's BlueTube.  GameTracker is also available while in-game scoring and notes can be followed at www.twitter.com/DePaulWBBSID.

DePaul (9-3) is coming off an 87-69 victory over cross-town rival Loyola on Dec. 18. The Blue Demons were paced by their seniors -- Anna Martin and Katherine Harry.  

Martin reached the 20-point mark for the third time this season and led DePaul's offense with 28 points against the Ramblers. Harry was a monster on the glass and grabbed a career-high 22 rebounds.  Harry's rebounding performance was the sixth best in school history while it is the most rebounds grabbed by a BIG EAST Conference player this season.

Harry enters Friday's game leading the BIG EAST with 11.7 rebound per game. The Columbia, Missouri native is averaging 2.1 more rebounds per game than any other league player.

Princeton (7-4) is coming off a 67-50 win at Illinois State on Wednesday.  The Tigers are at the end of a four-game road trip which took the team to Delaware and Villanova prior to their stops to Illinois.  

Niveen Rasheed scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Princeton's win over the Redbirds.  The win, snapped a two-game skid for the Tigers.  On the year, Rasheed leads the team with 15.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.  

In the series only meeting between the Blue Demons and Tigers last season in Princeton, Rasheed paced the floor with 23 points and 18 rebounds. DePaul won the game, 78-65 behind double-figure scoring performances from four Blue Demons including 14 points from Martin and 12 from Harry and Brittany Hrynko.

With the Princeton game in the books, the Blue Demons break for the Christmas Holiday, but return to the court on Dec. 28 when Oral Roberts closes out DePaul's non-conference schedule with a 7 p.m. contest.
