CHICAGO In addition to the three-player class of freshmen next season, DePaul women’s soccer coach Erin Chastain added Michelle Lind as a transfer. Lind played her freshman season at Indiana and the Rockford, Ill. native will have three seasons of eligibility with the Blue Demons.

Lind, a defender, played in six games for the Hoosiers in 2008 and entered collegiate soccer as one of the nation’s top 200 recruits by SoccerBuzz. At Boylan Catholic, she started all 96 games of her high school career and was a two-time first team All-State honoree. The four-time All-Conference honoree totaled 80 goals and 25 assists in her high school career. Lind played club soccer for the Sirens Soccer Club and was a member of the Illinois State Olympic Development Program team from 2002-07. She also played for the Region 2 ODP team in 2007.

Lind joins Kelly Blumberg, Chelsea Grant and Claire Hanold next season after the trio signed National Letters of Intent last week. DePaul opens training camp for the 2009 campaign in August.
