Women's Soccer Announces Summer Camp Dates

Head coach Erin Chastain will hold two sessions the week of July 23 at Wish Field on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus.

CHICAGO - Head coach Erin Chastain and her staff announced the dates of the 2007 DePaul Girl's Soccer Camp. All sessions of the camp will be held at Wish Field on DePaul's Lincoln Park campus. The Super Skills Day Camp takes place in the morning followed by the Strikers/Goalkeeper Day Camp in the afternoon. The two sessions take place July 23-27.

Super Skills Day Camp Curriculum
July 23-27th | 9 a.m.–Noon
Wish Field | DePaul University
Cost: $200 | Ages: 6-13

Skill-teaching rotation system designed to introduce and improve technical skills of the game. Each sector of the rotation will focus on a different technical skill and will be reinforced and expanded upon each day. Emphasis will be placed upon improving the overall skill of each player.

Strikers/Goalkeeper Day Camp Curriculum
July 23-27th | 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Wish Field | DePaul University
Cost: $200 | Ages: 6-13

The focus of the goalkeeping camp will be to develop the technical skills of the young goalkeeper. The basic fundamentals of footwork, catching and diving will be emphasized in a small group atmosphere. Groupings will be determined by ability. The focus for the strikers camp will be to work on all the different dimensions of finishing (volleys, finishing off the dribble, set plays, etc…)

Mission Statement
The Mission of the DePaul Girl’s Soccer Camp is to develop the female youth soccer player through the DePaul Soccer Camp Philosophy. The philosophy of positive teaching by role-models provides a nurturing environment for each player to gain self confidence, self motivation and self discipline. All players are challenged and supported by the curriculum while forming friendships with the coaching staff and fellow players.
