Women's Soccer Coach Laure Schingen Resigns
CHICAGO (July 26) - DePaul women's soccer coach Laure Schingen has resigned to pursue a career in higher education administration it was announced today by Athletic Director Bill Bradshaw.
"Laure did an admirable job taking the program from its infancy to a seven-win season last year," Bradshaw said. "The DePaul athletic department is going to miss her and we all wish her success in her future endeavors." Bradshaw added that the search for her successor will begin immediately. Schingen, the only coach in the four-year history of the program, came to DePaul in 1996 when the sport was elevated to varsity status. Her record with the Blue Demons was 44-74-10. Last season, DePaul posted a 7-11-0 record, the best in the brief history of the program.
