DePaul Set to Take On Saint Louis, Pittsburgh
Sept. 19, 2012
CHICAGO - After opening BIG EAST Conference season last weekend, the DePaul women's soccer team is gearing up for a non-conference matchup against Saint Louis on Thursday before returning to league play on Sunday when it hosts Pittsburgh.
First up for the Blue Demons are the Billikens (2-4-2) of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Saint Louis and DePaul have not faced off since 2004, but the Billikens hold a huge advantage in the all-time series, leading 10-0-1.
Two Saint Louis players have amassed two goals apiece this season as Jenny Humbert and Jamei Borges have each found the back of the net twice. For DePaul, both Natasa Radosavljevic and Amber Paul have collected two goals this year so far.
Following Thursday's game, the Blue Demons have an extra day off before welcoming BIG EAST Conference foe Pittsburgh to Wish Field. The match is DePaul's third in league action so far this season after opening with a win at Cincinnati and a loss at home to Louisville.
Pitt (5-5-1) takes on Notre Dame on Friday before heading to Lincoln Park. The Panthers are led by Morgan Sharick, who has four goals on the year, and Roosa Arvas, who has seven assists.
