Julianne Sitch Named First Team All-Conference USA
CHICAGO – DePaul juniors Julianne Sitch and Erin Walter were named to Conference USA’s first and third teams, respectively, while Jennifer Dyer picked up All-Freshman Team honors. Sitch claimed her second straight first team All-Conference USA honor after totaling 25 points on nine goals and seven assists. A year ago, she was the Offensive Player of the Year and earned second team All-Conference USA honors as a freshman. The junior was also named to the league’s 10-member All-Decade team. She is the only current student-athlete on the squad picked by the league’s coaches to honor to top players in the first 10 seasons of Conference USA. Walter, also a junior, was named a third team All-Conference USA honoree. The midfielder leads C-USA with 10 assists heading into this week’s league tournament. It is her first appearance on a C-USA All-Conference team. She has totaled 18 points on four goals and 10 assists. Dyer becomes the fourth DePaul player to earn C-USA All-Freshman team honors. She joins Lauren Spacht in 2003, Sitch in 2002 and Stephanie Cox in 1997 on the league’s rookie team. Dyer is fourth on the team with 17 points on six goals and five assists.
