DePaul Picked for First in BIG EAST Softball

DePaul is the team to beat this spring according to a preseason poll of BIG EAST Conference softball coaches. The prognostication released on Monday tabbed two-time BIG EAST Championship tournament winner Syracuse for second followed by 2011 regular-season titlist Notre Dame, Louisville and USF.

DePaul Extends Lenti's Contract Through...

One of the best NCAA softball coaches in the history of the sport will have an opportunity to enhance his Hall of Fame career at DePaul. Eugene Lenti has had his contract renewed through the 2016-17 academic year after leading the Blue Demons to their 16th NCAA tournament appearance last season---14th in the last 15 years.

DePaul Softball Announces 2012 Schedule

DePaul's softball team this season should simply be known as "Mileage Plus." The Blue Demons open the 2012 campaign with 29-straight road games---a demanding stretch that begins Feb. 9th with the Hawai'i Paradise Classic in Honolulu.

A smile comes across Eugene Lenti's face as the DePaul softball coach warms to the topic of his recruiting class of 2012. "This is the fastest recruiting class we've had in years," Lenti said. "Three of the kids have legit track-type speed, and we have two with pop in their bat."
