2012 (Sophomore Season): USA Softball National Player of the Week... BIG EAST Conference Pitcher of the Week... BIG EAST Honor Roll five times... finished the season ranked No. 17 in the country in shutouts with 10, No. 19 in wins (27) and No. 25 in strikeouts (266)... had 27 strikeouts in doubleheader vs. NCAA tournament team Syracuse including career-high 15 in the second game... struck out 12 at Seton Hall and had 11 Ks each against Seattle, Georgetown and Connecticut... pitched shutouts against Seattle, UMass, Fresno State, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Seton Hall, Providence, USF (BIG EAST Championship) and Massachusetts (NCAA Regional)... led DePaul with 11 home runs, 41 RBIs, 61 hits, 29 walks, .631 slugging percentage, .462 on-base percentage, 27 wins as a pitcher... had two homers and five RBIs vs. Delaware and home run and five RBIs vs. Longwood... came within three outs of a perfect game against Providence... had a 10-game hitting streak.

2011 (Freshman Season): Came through with one hit and an RBI in NCAA Regional game against No. 8/4 Missouri... pitched a one-hit shutout in collegiate debut against North Florida... combined for a no-hitter with Bree Brown vs. Boston College... collected 10 strikeouts against Connecticut... had two hits and three RBIs against Boston College, St. John's and Pittsburgh...finished with a team-high 11 home runs on the season, including a grand slam at Villanova... led DePaul with 43 RBIs and 47 walks... BIG EAST Conference Pitcher of the Week... named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll four times... led DePaul with 11 multi-RBI games... had an 11-game hitting streak.

High School: The Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune Player of the Year in 2010 set a state record going 40-0 from the circle while leading the Coalers to the Class 2A championship... the consensus All-Stater had a 0.30 earned-run average with 480 strikeouts---the fourth-highest mark in state history... the left-hander recorded four perfect games and 11 no-hitters... she finished with a career record of 83-4 in three seasons, 1,036 strikeouts, 19 home runs and had a 72-game hitting streak during her career... in 2009, she led Coal City to third-place in Class 2A, going 31-3 with a 0.32 ERA... in basketball, Verdun averaged 19.1 points and 10.5 rebounds as a senior... she led the Coalers to 26 wins (tying a school record) and to their first regional title since 1997... Verdun finished her four-year basketball career with 1,421 points and 1,009 rebounds.
