NEW YORK - Kirsten Verdun and Mary Connollyboth landed on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after a stellar weekend for DePaul softball, which saw the team's first no-hitter since 2010 and a ranked win over No. 23/25 Notre Dame.

Verdun was named to the honor roll for the third time this season after winning all three of her starts in complete game fashion, including her first career no-hitter on Saturday, April 6 versus Seton Hall. Verdun was also effective against the Irish, helping the Blue Demons to their first ranked win of the season with seven innings of two-run ball.

On Sunday, Verdun recorded a season-high 13 strikeouts to help DePaul finish off a sweep of Seton Hall. She was also a presence at the plate, batting .400 with three RBI and a homer -- the 35th of her career, which moved her into second-place all-time in the DePaul softball record book.

The senior from Coal City, Ill. is now 16-5 on the season with a 1.95 ERA, but has been especially dominant in conference play with a 5-0 record and 0.70 ERA in five starts.

Connolly continued to decimate BIG EAST pitching over the weekend, hitting .538 (7-for-13) and knocking in three runs -- including the game-winning RBI against Seton Hall on Sunday. Connolly had hits in all four of the Blue Demons games last week and is riding a team-high seven game hitting streak.

The junior from Winfield, Ill. also earned a win in the circle on Saturday, beating the Pirates with seven strikeouts and allowing just one unearned run.

DePaul gets back to action with a pair of midweek games this week, travelling to Illinois State on Wednesday and then making the short trip to Loyola on Thursday. Both games are set for 4:00 p.m. CT start times.
