St. Louis - The DePaul softball team took a pair of Conference USA games from Saint Louis, Saturday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center.  The Blue Demons have won 14 of their last 15 games, improving to 26-12 overall and 12-1 in league play.  The Billikens fall to 16-23 and 4-13 in C-USA.  DePaul and Saint Louis will finish their three game series Sunday afternoon.

The Blue Demons wasted no time jumping on the board in the first game, scoring three-runs in the first two innings. With one out in the first inning, sophomore Jessica Evans singled through the left side to plate the first Blue Demon run of the ball game.  The next batter, freshman Sandy Vojik connected on a sacrifice fly to left field to give the Blue Demons a 2-0 lead at the end of the first.

Senior left fielder Dana Kenney connected on her first of seven hits on the day in the second inning.  The senior doubled to left center and scored on an error by the Saint Louis catcher.

Saint Louis scored its first run in the bottom of sixth on a Logan Justice triple.

The Blue Demon offense roared back in the seventh to score five runs on five hits.  Sophomore Kate Sheaks, senior Jenny Doezie and Kenney all singled, while junior Sara Bandauski and Evans each registered doubles in the inning.

Saint Louis added one run in the seventh, but the 10-run deficit was too much to make up.
