No. 65 DePaul Women's Tennis Wins Two Singles Matches at No. 27 Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The DePaul women's team won a pair of singles matches in a hidden dual match against No. 27 Purdue on Sunday on the Basham Courts at Schwartz Tennis Center. DePaul was swept in doubles play on Saturday, but came back the next day with wins at the top spot and at fifth singles. No. 112 Matea Cutura picked up the Blue Demons first win at the top spot of the lineup, defeating No. 80 Lynda Xepoleas in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. It was the third ranked win of Cutura's career. In the five spot, Kelsey Lawson rebounded from a first set loss to take her match against Imogen Golder, 2-6, 6-2, 6-3. Next up for DePaul will be a dual match versus VCU on Saturday, January 26 in Chapel Hill, N.C. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. CT. Singles
