No. 25 Women's Tennis Wins in San Diego, Improves to 17-1

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The 25th-ranked DePaul women's tennis team knocked off Point Loma Nazarene, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon to improve to 17-1 overall in 2014.
For the Blue Demons, the win marked their 16th straight overall. They have not lost a match since late January and did not lose a match in February or March.
After taking all three doubles matches against Point Loma, DePaul continued it's success in singles play on Thursday afternoon to secure the victory.
No. 97 Ana Vladutu defeated Maika Adair, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles and No. 125 Patricia Fargas topped Regina von Koch, 6-2, 6-3, in the No. 2 match. Jasmin Kling defeated Hope Penner (6-1,6-0) at No. 3 singles and Kelsey Lawson handled Preethika Vanugopal, 6-0, 6-3, in the No. 4 match. Finally, Zaina Sufi won at No. 5 singles, topping Hillary Ramage, 6-0, 6-1, and Rebeca Mitrea downed Sharon Reibstein, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 6 position.
DePaul will take its 16-match win streak to Texas next week when it faces Rice and Houston
