EVANSTON, Ill. – In the Blue Demons’ two feature matches on Sunday, coach Mark Ardizzone’s program came away 1-1.

In the prestigious Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at Pepperdine, the doubles team of Keisha Clousing and Patricia Lancranjan notched an impressive 8-3 victory over the Air Force duo of T.J. Fumagalli and Elizabeth Barnickel.

The Air Force pair came into the match as the ITA’s No. 52-ranked doubles team in the country. Clousing and Lancranjan’s big win culminated DePaul’s competition in the national tournament.

At the Wildcat Invite, Alina Kuzmenkova lost 7-5, 6-3 to Ally Bojczuk of Notre Dame in the Orange Flight title match at the Vandy Christie Tennis Center.

In consolation singles action, Lenka Antonijevic came up short 7-6, 6-4 to Isabel Iglesias of Kentucky. Aspasia Avgeri lost 6-1, 6-2 to the Fighting Irish’s Zoe Spence. Marija Jovicic was edged 3-6, 7-6, 7-5 by Bella Lorenzini of Michigan.

In consolation doubles, Jovicic and Kuzmenkova swept past Michigan State’s Caroline Szabo and Julia Fenn 6-0.



The Blue Demons are back in action Oct. 12 at the ITA Midwest Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich.
