DePaul Wraps Up Play at Wildcat Invitational

CHICAGO - The DePaul women's tennis team finished up a strong weekend at the 2012 Wilcat Invitational at the Vandy Christie and Combe Tennis Centers on the campus of Northwestern on Sunday.
The Blue Demons added five singles wins to finish with an impressive weekend record of 21-9 in singles matches as well as an 8-6 mark in doubles play.
Freshman Jarret Fisher continued her undefeated fall (9-0) with a straight set win, 6-2, 6-2, over Minnesota's Jessika Mozia. Ana Vladutu defeated Jill Pastunink of Western Michigan by the same score.
Matea Cutura, who upset the ITA's 12th ranked player on Friday, continued to roll with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 decision over Ruth Seaborne of Iowa.
Patricia Fargas went a full three sets, but recovered from a slow start to control her match against another Hawkeye, Christina Harazin, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3. DePaul's final singles win of the day went to Rebeca Mitrea, who took down Whitney Wofford of Oklahoma with identical set scores, 6-3, 6-3.
Next up for DePaul will be the ITA Midwest Regionals, which begin on Friday, October 19 in Champaign, Ill.
