Fargas, Sufi Win on Day One in Evanston

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The DePaul women's tennis team kicked off play at their final fall tournament of the 2013-14 season on Friday afternoon at the Northwestern Fall Invitational.

Paired up against players from the University of Oklahoma, DePaul registered two wins on day one in Evanston.

Patricia Fargas knocked off Hermon Brhane, 7-5, 6-4, and Zaina Sufi topped Whitney Wofford, 7-6, 6-2. Jasmin Kling, Jarret Fisher, Kelsey Lawson and Rebeca Mitrea all fell in competitive matches on Friday.

The Northwestern Fall Invite continues on Saturday afternoon in Evanston.
