Women's Tennis Finishes Wildcat Invitational
EVANSTON, Ill. - The DePaul women's tennis team finished the Wildcat Invitational with seven singles matches on Sunday at Northwestern's Combe Indoor Tennis Center. Playing student-athletes from No. 2 Northwestern and No. 22 Vanderbilt, the Blue Demons combined for 12 wins in the first two days of the invitational; and Kararina Milinkovic picked up DePaul's only match victory on Sunday. Milinkovic topped Erika Robertson from Vanderbiult 6-1, 6-0. Kirsten Gambrell tallied DePaul's only other set win of the day. Gambrell took the first set from Northwestern's Brittany Wowchuk 6-4. Wowchuk then forced a tiebreaker by winning the next stanza 6-2 and ultimately won the match with a 10-3 tiebreak. DePaul returns to Lincoln Park, Jan. 23 for a dual doubleheader. The Blue Demons host BIG EAST rival Villanova and play a nonconference dual with Butler on Saturday. Action gets underway at the Lakeshore Athletic Club at 2 p.m. Singles Results
