Women's Tennis Hosts Bowling Green State in Dual Opener



CHICAGO- The DePaul women’s tennis team opens its 2007 dual campaign this Sunday at the Five Seasons Racquet Club in Burr Ridge, Illinois.  The Blue Demons host the Bowling Green State Falcons at 10 a.m.

 

Head Coach Mark Ardizzone’s squad enters the season after posting successful performances in fall tournaments across the nation.

 

Junior Beatrix Csordas carries a 3-2 singles record after reaching the main draw of the ITA Midwest Regional at Michigan State in October of 2006.  Earlier that month, she posted a first-round victory during the ITA All-American Championships at UCLA. 

 

Sophomore Dunja Antunovic won her draw at the Notre Dame Eck Classic in November and posted a singles record of 5-2 during the fall.  She also notched a 3-1 doubles record when teamed with freshman Kirsten Gambrell and a 2-0 doubles slate when paired with junior Bojana Murisic.

 

DePaul won its last dual competition against Bowling Green State in February of 2006.  The Blue Demons swept the Falcons 7-0 at the Butler Tennis Bubble in Indianapolis, Indiana.
