No. 65 DePaul Women's Tennis Travels to ITA Kick-Off Weekend

CHICAGO - In their second weekend of spring competition, the DePaul women's tennis team heads to Chapel Hill, N.C. to begin play in the 2013 ITA Kick-Off Weekend along with 60 other schools nationwide. The Blue Demons are in a pool with the host, No. 8 North Carolina, as well as nationally-ranked teams from VCU (No. 46) and Auburn (No. 68). Each host was chosen based upon its year-end 2012 ITA National Team Ranking and the weekend will serve as a four-team playoff for a spot in the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship - hosted next month by the University of Virginia. DePaul is seeded third in the grouping and will face the second-seeded Rams on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. CT. Should the Blue Demons advance, they would face either the first-seeded Tar Heels or fourth-seeded Tigers on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Last weekend, DePaul grabbed a pair of singles wins at No. 27 Purdue in their first competition since the fall season.
