Women's Tennis Tops Seton Hall in Comeback Win

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The DePaul women’s tennis team earned a 4-3 neutral-court victory over BIG EAST rival Seton Hall on Saturday.  The Blue Demons fought back to win four consecutive singles matches after coming up short in doubles play.

No. 88 Dunja Antunovic rolled past Ebru Burduroglu, 6-1, 6-1, in the top singles flight.  The DePaul sophomore improves to 23-3 on the season while extending her winning streak to 14 consecutive matches.

The second singles match saw Kirsten Gambrell post a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Amanda El-Tobgy.  The Blue Demon freshman has won her last seven singles matches.

Anja Mihaldinec picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over Nada Sein at No. 3 singles.  The DePaul junior has also won seven consecutive singles matches.

Bojana Murisic secured the win for the Blue Demons in the fourth flight with a three-set, 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, victory over Danielle Viola.

Due to injuries, DePaul was forced to play shorthanded and forfeit the third doubles match and sixth singles match.

The Blue Demons (10-8, 3-1 BIG EAST) continue BIG EAST play tomorrow with a Noon (CST) match at Syracuse.
