CHICAGO - One week after splitting back-to-back matches against ITA-ranked opponents in Florida, DePaul women's tennis is back in the rankings at No. 73 and will return to the road, facing BIG EAST rivals Cincinnati and Louisville to wrap the regular season.

First serve against the Bearcats is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. CT. On Sunday, the Blue Demons will face the Cardinals at 11:00 a.m.

Winners of two-of-three, No. 91 Matea Cutura leads the Blue Demons with a 14-5 mark at the first position in the lineup, despite dropping a pair of matches last weekend.

Reigning BIG EAST Player of the Week, Patricia Fargas, is coming off an undefeated weekend (2-0) and has won her last three overall while building a 17-10 singles record. Freshman Jarret Fisher also won both her singles matches last weekend at the five spot and will be looking to improve upon her sterling 25-7 overall record.

Scouting the Bearcats

DePaul meets a Cincinnati team on a roll, as the Bearcats have won six straight - the team's longest winning streak since 2009. At 10-7 overall and 2-3 in the BIG EAST, UC is coming off a weekend sweep of California (PA) and Pittsburgh.

In the last meeting between the two teams, DePaul came away with a 7-0 victory at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness on April 1, 2012.

Freshman Kelly Poggensee-Wei has been streaking right along with her team, posting six straight singles wins to boost her record to a team-best 12-3, mostly at the fourth spot in the order. Junior Ashleigh Witte, playing at the three, has also won her last five and brings a 10-6 dual match record into the weekend.

Scouting the Cardinals

Louisville enters the weekend with an 11-7 record, including a 6-0 mark on its home court. A fast start, at 8-2, however, has given way to a 2-5 record over the Cardinals' past seven matches.

The two programs were scheduled to meet in last season's BIG EAST Championship, but rain shortened the event and it was decided that DePaul and Louisville would share third-place.

The last time the two squared off in dual match play came on February 6, 2011 when the Blue Demons topped the Cards 4-3 in Lincoln Park.

Next Up

DePaul will travel to Tampa Bay, Fla. to begin play at the 2013 BIG EAST Women's Tennis Championship, hosted by the University of South Florida. Action is slated to begin on Thursday, April 18 and run through Saturday, April 21. Times and matchups will be announced at a later date.
