Women's Tennis Finishes Fourth at BIG EAST Championships



TAMPA, Fla. – DePaul’s women’s tennis team took the doubles point but Louisville rallied, winning four singles matches to post a 4-2 victory over the Blue Demons at the BIG EAST Conference championships on Sunday at the USF Varsity Courts.

 

The Blue Demons finished the tournament in fourth place.

 

DePaul opened the match with doubles wins at No. 1 (Beatrix Csordas/Gergana Ganeva) and No. 2 (Dunja Antunovic/Anja Mihaldinec) and jumped out to the lead.

 

The Cardinals roared back with four singles victories to earn the win. Csordas was the only DePaul player to record a singles victory (at No. 1).
