GLEN ELLYN, Ill. The DePaul women’s tennis team swept the top flight singles and doubles titles as the DePaul-DuPage Invitational concluded on Sunday. Katarina Milinkovic won the Flight A singles crown and teamed with Kirsten Gambrell to take the Flight A doubles title at the College of DuPage.

Milinkovic topped fellow Blue Demon Selma Salkovic, 6-4, 6-4, in the Flight A championship match on Sunday. Saturday’s top flight semifinals saw Milinkovic post a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Ilinca Cristescu of UIC, while Salkovic defeated Gambrell, 4-6, 6-1, 1-0, to reach the title match.

Gambrell and Milinkovic won the top flight doubles title with an 8-3 victory over UIC’s Grace Gill-Morlis and Cristescu. The Blue Demon duo reached the championship match with an 8-2 win over Brooke Forsberg and Dora Delgadillo of Northern Illinois in Friday’s quarterfinal round, and an 8-2 decision over Chicago State’s Eliza Rustandar and Golda Rubina in Saturday’s semifinals.

Anja Mihaldinec took the Flight B singles title as she topped UIC’s Amy Jellish, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0, in Sunday’s finals. The Blue Demon senior defeated Chicago State’s Dian Mayasari, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0, in Saturday’s semifinals after knocking off UIC’s Ulrikke von Ubicsh, 6-4, 6-3, in the quarterfinals.

Flight B doubles saw Bojana Murisic and Clare Chmiel take third place with an 8-0 victory over Kate Kennedy and Courtney Brooks of Western Illinois in Sunday’s consolation match.

The Blue Demons return to action September 29 as Dunja Antunovic travels to Pacific Palisades, California for the ITA All-American Championships. Antunovic holds a preseason ranking of 93 in the FILA/ITA Division I singles poll.
