The national championship is set to being on Saturday, Sept. 28 with pre-qualifying singles and doubles matches. Main draw action is slated for Thursday, Oct. 3-Sunday, Oct. 6 at the Riviera Tennis Club.

Pre-qualifying features a singles draw of 64 and a doubles draw of 32. Eight spots in the singles main draw are reserved for qualifiers, while the doubles main draw will feature four teams from qualifying.

Singles semifinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 7-10 in Flushing, N.Y.

The pre-qualifier will be the second event of the fall for Fargas, Kling and Vladutu. Last weekend, all three competed at the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. The trio combined for three singles wins and five doubles victories a week ago.
