DePaul Battles, Falls in Non-Conference Match

In three hard-fought sets, the Blue Demons volleyball team fell to the Western Illinois Leathernecks.

2011 (Junior):Competed in every set of every match for the Blue Demons (a team-high 101)...led the squad in service aces (14) and digs (431) while committing just two ball-handling errors as the team's libero...also added 94 assists for the third-most on the team...named to the All-Tournament team for the 2011 Chicagoland Challenge...averaged 4.51 digs per set in BIG EAST Conference action for eighth in the league...registered double-digit digs in all but five matches on the season...reached at least 20 digs on nine occasions including a career-high 30 against Cleveland State on the road.

2010 (Sophomore at Ohio State): Recorded a season-high nine digs at Minnesota...played in 17 matches and 28 sets...totaled 22 digs on the season...named Academic All-Big Ten.

2009 (Freshman at Ohio State): Recorded seven digs at Wiliam and Mary, against Xavier, and at Illinois...played in 23 mathces and 49 sets...handled 116 of 126 serve receptions without an error for a .921 percentage...tallied 41 digs...named an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.

High School: Named team captain in 2007 and 2008...earned all-conference honors in 2008 as a senior...led Naperville to the 2008 conference championship title...earned an all-academic nod in all four seasons...her Sports Performance club finished second in 2007 at the Club National Championships.

Personal: Daughter of Pat and Pam Bowler...has one brother, Kevin, and two sisters, Amy and Kathleen...Amy played volleyball at Arizona State University and Kathleen played volleyball at the University of Kentucky.
