Final Stats

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Head coach Nadia Edwards and the DePaul volleyball team defeated Georgetown, 3-2 (15-25, 25-18, 25-18, 18-25, 15-11) on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Demons took the first matchup with Georgetown this season in a five-set thriller. At the season midpoint, DePaul is now (8-12, 2-6 BIG EAST) overall.  

Haley Bueser surpassed 1,000 career digs, helping with 20 during the match.

"This is a well-deserved recognition. Haley has been a huge part of our defense over the past four years and especially this season. She continues to put herself in great position to make plays, controls the back court and makes others around her better. We are all extremely proud of Haley and excited for her to continue to set the bar high of the second half of conference and finish her career on a high note," added Edwards.  

Kelsey Horvath led the Blue Demons with 44 assists. Brittany Maxwell took 18 kills, 47 attacks, and four aces to earn DePaul the win.  

Six players contributed over 20 attacks. Ashley Marshall took 20, Jameson MacPhie took 21, Caitlyn Coffey took 22, Rachel Breault took 23, and Maxwell's 47 added to a team total of 152 match attacks. 

Coffey and MacPhie also added 13 and 11 kills, respectively. 

The Blue Demons are back in action tomorrow against Villanova.
