CHICAGO- DePaul head volleyball Coach Nadia Edwards has announced today that Katie Gamsky, signed a National Letter of Intent and will enroll at DePaul for the 2011-12 school year.
Gamsky, is five-foot, 11-inch setter from Henderson, Nev. She was a Scholar Athlete and team MVP all throughout her high school career. Gamsky was named a team captain in her senior year and led her team to a 29-6 record.
Coach Edwards commented, "I am truly excited to welcome Katie Gamsky to our Blue Demon family. She is a very talented athlete, her experience and knowledge of the game will definitely be an asset to our team. Katie has the ability to run a dynamic and quick tempo offense and certainly has the potential to make an impact in our program right away."
In high school, Gamsky was awarded First-Team All Sunrise Conference honors after all four seasons and brings a strong work ethic and love for the game to the Blue Demons.
The DePaul Volleyball team returns to competition in the fall.
