Jane Parr Named Assistant Director Of Compliance/Event Coordinator
CHICAGO -- Jane Parr has been named DePaul's Assistant Director Of Compliance/Event Coordinator it was announced today by Blue Demon Athletic Director Jean Lenti Ponsetto. "Jane has done tremendous work in our athletic department for the past two years in marketing, compliance and event management so it's a privilege to reward her with this position." Ponsetto said. "We are looking forward to watching Jane grow as a collegiate athletic administrator." Parr, a native of Hartford, Wis., has spent the past two years as DePaul's Marketing Assistant where she helped coordinate marketing efforts and game management for the entire athletic program as well as assisting with corporate sponsorship relations and the university licensing process. Last September, Jane was given the additional title of Compliance Assistant. Among her duties in that position was being responsible for preparing and processing the NCAA Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse reports and squad lists, administrating the National Letter of Intent program, monitoring recruiting activities, playing and practice seasons and extra benefits. She also assisted with NCAA compliance audits and the completion of all NCAA forms. A 1997 graduate of Iowa State, the former Jane Wagner was a four-year letterwinner for the Cyclones in softball. Jane was named All-Big Eight Conference in 1994 and a member of the league's All-Academic team in 1995. She earned her Master's Degree in Sport Management from Northern Illinois this past May. -DPU-
