CHICAGO - The DePaul volleyball team put on a display for fans in the Blue Demon Scrimmage at the McGrath-Phillips Arena on Sunday afternoon. The squad split for an exhibition in preparation for its first tournament next weekend at the University of Wyoming.

Following the five-set match, second year head coach Nadia Edwards called the warm-up a "good foundation to build on" for the young team. On the attacking side, senior Lauren Blasi and freshman Amy Lanski were key contributors for the White side. On the defensive front, the Blue squad's Allyson Rooks posted the match-high in digs while junior transfer Kelsey Bowler followed with plenty of defensive work of her own.

Edwards noted, "Today showed us a lot about our team, the things we need to work on and things that we are capable of doing. We are excited to bring all of those things to Wyoming to see how we match up against our first opponent Oregon state."

The Blue Demons will face Oregon State in their opening match of the UniWyo Wyoming Invitational on August 26th at 10 a.m. DePaul will also take on South Dakota at 6 p.m. on the 26th and conclude the tournament with a noon matchup on Saturday against Gonzaga and an 8 p.m. match against host Wyoming.
