Toledo Hands Volleyball First Loss
CHARLESTON, Ill. – Toledo used an experienced lineup to post a 3-1 (30-17, 28-30, 30-13, 30-25) win in the morning match at the Eastern Illinois Invitational on Saturday. “We blocked well, but just didn’t hit well enough,” DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. “Our inexperienced showed but we will learn from this match and move on. We need to regroup quickly to get ready for tonight’s match.” DePaul (1-1) will face Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m. tonight. Kate Engel led DePaul with 13 kills and 10 digs while Lara Marks added 10 kills, a .421 hitting percentage and seven blocks.
