Bishop Earns C-USA Player of the Week Honor
CHICAGO - DePaul outside hitter Stephanie Bishop has been named the Conference USA Volleyball Player of the Week the league announced September 4. Bishop, a senior from Fort Wayne, Ind., led the Blue Demons to the championship of the Northern Illinois Invitational this past weekend. She recorded 16 kills and 8 digs in the opening victory over Creighton, 21 kills and 23 digs in a five game victory over Texas-San Antonio, and 20 kills and 10 digs in the championship victory over Northern Illinois. Bishop and the Blue Demons are 3-0 on the season and in action Friday at 5:00 p.m. against Drake in the opening game of the UW-Milwaukee Invitational.
