CHICAGO- The DePaul volleyball team will compete against Santa Clara Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. The team then travels to Miami, Ohio to participate in the Miami Best Western Invitational this weekend. On Friday, Sept. 17 the Blue Demons play Miami at 6 p.m. and then finish the tournament on Saturday, Sept. 18 playing Indiana at noon and Illinois State at 4 p.m.
The Blue Demons defeated Georgia State 3-2 (25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12) to finish second in last weekend's DePaul Invitational. Rachel Aumann was a member of the all-tournament team for the second week in a row. During the Georgia State match, Aumann Compiled a massive hitting percentage of .577 (15-0-26).

DePaul vs. Miami Best Western Invitational Participants The Blue Demons are 2-10 against the 2010 Miami Best Western Invitational participants... DePaul is 1-4 against Miami (Ohio) and 1-6 against Illinois State... DePaul will play Indiana for the first time in the program history.
DePaul Invitational Highlights
The Blue Demons had season highs with 113 digs and 58 assists in the win over Georgia State... 113 digs is the most the Blue Demons have had since they played Butler in 2006... Chelsea Thurlby came up with 33 digs, the second most since Ellen Hayes in 2004... The Blue Demons had season highs with .214 (63-26-173) attack percentage and 63 kills in the loss to Radford... Rachel Aumann was named to the all-tournament team for the second tournament in a row.

Christy Landschoots 83 assists in the DePaul Invitational moves her to 2,660 career assists which is 156 away from fourth on DePaul's all time record... Sheila Carrol is fourth on the all-time list with 2,816.
