Jakusz Earns C-USA Player of the Week Honor
CHICAGO -- DePaul setter Kara Jakusz has been named the Conference USA Volleyball Player of the Week, the league announced September 25.
Jakusz, a junior from Lemont, Ill., helped the Blue Demons to a 3-0 start in C-USA play last week by recording a triple double (39 assists, 15 digs and 10 kils) in the win at UAB. She also dished out 50 assists in the win over Marquette and had 65 assists and 17 digs in the win at Memphis. DePaul is now 12-3 overall, the best start in the history of the program and 3-0 in league play for the first time since 1993.
