Hello! We had two matches at McGrath Arena this past weekend, and it was great to play at home! Our first match of the weekend was on Saturday versus Pittsburgh. In a five set battle, we lost, but had to move on and prepare ourselves for the match against West Virginia on Saturday. We beat West Virginia in a three game set. Yay our first BIG EAST Conference win! It was a great match and a well-earned win. In the third game of the set against West Virginia, we were down 19-24, and we came back to win 26-24. It was very exciting! The match on Sunday was followed by a Girl Scout clinic. There were about 90 girl scouts in the gym, and the coaches and players went through a mini volleyball clinic with them. They got to pass, set, hit, and combine all three skills with a partner. They looked like they were having a lot of fun, which was great to see. Afterwards we signed posters for them. I hope they had a fun day the team sure did! This week we have another BIG EAST match against Notre Dame on Thursday night. We play at home again, and it would be great to get another win! We play at 7:30 p.m. in McGrath Arena. Come support the Blue Demons! Thanks to everyone who came to support us this past weekend! I hope everyone has a fun week! GO BLUE!! Christy
