Christy Landschoot: sports blog Nov. 11
Hey Everyone! I hope everyone had a fun week and is staying warm! The fall quarter at DePaul is coming to an end, with only one week of classes left. The volleyball season also is winding down, and we find ourselves with only three matches left this season. We played Valparaiso at home a week ago. It was a very competitive match, but we lost in four sets. We did much better against them this year than last, so hopefully we can grab the win when we play them next year! We practiced on Wednesday and traveled to Rutgers on Thursday morning. It was a long travel day, so we rested up for our match against Rutgers that was on Friday night. It was our second time traveling to New Jersey this year, since we competed against Seton Hall just a few weeks ago. The match against Rutgers was at 7 PM on Friday night. We won in three sets (yay!). We were all very excited to get another conference win! Now we are heading into our final week of the season. We play Bradley tonight at 7 PM in the McGrath Arena, followed by two BIG EAST matches this weekend. We play UConn on Friday night, and we play St. John’s on Sunday at 2 PM. Both matches will be played at home, and Sunday’s match is our senior night for Caito (Caitlin Callaghan)! It would be great to have a lot of fans at our match Tuesday and for this weekend!
