Volleyball Team To Face Minnesota In NCAA Tournament
CHICAGO - DePaul's volleyball team earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament it was announced on Monday afternoon. The Blue Demons will face Minnesota in the opening round in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois are the other two teams in the bracket.
DePaul (24-8) will face the Golden Gophers (17-12) on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at West Gym on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. Northern Iowa (28-1) will face Northern Illinois (24-5) at 5:30 p.m. The second round of the regional will be Saturday at 6 p.m.
"I am very pleased with the draw. Minnesota is considered one of the top programs in the country," DePaul head coach Dawn Dockstader said. "I am really excited and proud of how far this program has come is such a short period of time."

This will be DePaul's second trip to the NCAA Tournament with the first coming in 1993 when the Blue Demons lost at Florida State 3-0 in first round.
