Jakusz Named To All-Midwest Region Team
CHICAGO -- DePaul's Kara Jakusz was selected to the All-Midwest Region team for the second time in her career it was announced today. A senior from Lemont, Ill., Kara helped lead the Blue Demons to their second NCAA appearance this season and the school's first Conference USA championship in any varsity sport. Jakusz also became DePaul and Conference USA's all-time assist leader this season as well as earning second team All-C-USA honors and being named MVP of the Conference USA Tournament. Off the court, Jakusz was named to the 2001 Verizon Academic All-District V team.
