 Why Blue Demons?
In 1900, when the first athletic team to represent DePaul University was organized, the  monogram "D" was selected for the uniforms. From this originated the nickname "D-men" which evolved into "Demons." The blue, which combines with Demons, signifies  loyalty and was chosen in 1901 by a vote of the student body.

 What Does "DIBS" Mean?
The name DIBS may sound odd, there is a reason; DIBS stands for Demon In a Blue Suit.  He originally came to DePaul under the name Billy, but after the logo was updated, he figured it was time for an update of his own.

DIBS is available to come to your event! To contact DIBS for appearances or other inquiries, email his personal assistant Andrew Chace at andrew.chace4@gmail.com.
